Transylvania Route V1 (Mediaș-Teiuș-Deva)
Transylvania Route V1 (Mediaș-Teiuș-Deva)
Part of the Transylvania Route Project, the Deva-Teiuș-Mediaș route for Train Simulator Classic has officially released with the birth of this website. This route builds on the old Teiuș-Deva project, but here the things are taken further as the original section went through an infrastructure rework and scenery optimization and updates (with new and proper 3D models for the stations in Bărăbanț, Sântimbru and Coșlariu and with an activated train depot in Teiuș, this station having went through a massive remaster both infrastructure and scenery-wise)*. Also, Coșlariu's sorting station is now semi-operational.
The latest extension of the project, consisting of the Teiuș-Mediaș line brings 62 1:1 more kilometers to the already existing ~100 kilometers of the route (counting Simeria Triaj and Șibot-Cugir too). The extension, being inspired by the real landscape and infrastructure of the area, presents to you Coșlariu Gr. Mureș, Cistei, Crăciunel, the iconic and historical city of Blaj, Câmpia Libertății, Mănărade, Glogoveț, Valea Lungă, Lunca, Micăsasa, Șeica Mică, Copșa Mică, Târnava and Mediaș.
All of this, together with the old portions of the route, can mostly be travelled at the intended speed of 160 km/h, taking full benefits of this part of the Pan-European Corridor IV. The ETCS-compliant signaling system is also integrated in the new section of the route, marked with specific infrastructure components.
The old scenarios are also joined by 8 more, some of them being extensions from the last one. Also, the route does support quick drives, albeit some basic ones.
For the route and the scenarios to work properly you must buy and install Dovetail’s Train Simulator Classic (https://store.steampowered.com/app/24010/Train_Simulator_Classic/) and to install the scenery and infrastructure dependencies (RO Asset Pack – exclusively v7, Infrastructure Pack, Railway Tracks Pack, Catenary Packs, Romanian Template and Signals Pack, Romanian Semaphores Pack) from https://railstudios.com (make sure to check out the tutorials: https://railstudios.com/tutorials). In case you have missing objects, please reinstall the above mentioned packs. Also, you must also have the rolling stock from there (both freeware and payware) and the Sky & Weather Enhancement Pack from https://www.armstrongpowerhouse.com/sky_weather_enhancement_pack_2.0.
Beware that the scenarios used the 1.0 version of the pack, so there might be some problems with the weather on the 2.0 version. Take note that if you don't have the weather pack, you will have a default weather in the new scenarios, missing on the dynamic effects that the AP is offering and even influence the scenarios. Also, for the scenarios to work, you have to install the freeware/payware rolling stock presented on www.railstudios.com.
